Every summer the MSSM welcomes over 300 5th through 9th graders to participate in our Summer X program. The summer program offerings challenge the mind and develop interests in Math, Science, and Technology in a variety of ways, satisfying intellectual curiosity and an adventurous spirit. Academic classes offered include Robotics Challenge, Physics of Ballistics, and Real Life CSI. Through our summer outreach programs, students develop the skills to be life-long learners and leaders. "A residential camp combining a family vacation in the lap of nature, it is an intensive student camp & a parent workshop - running in parallel. Epsilon Camp 2012 will be held at Colorado College, Colorado Springs, CO. The two-week camp will commence on July 29 (arrival date) and end on August 12 (departure date)."

Camp Euclid is a mind-tingling mathematics research program for middle school and high school students. Participants will encounter solution-defying math problems (which have never been solved before).     Gifted students interested in a challenging academic summer program should consider attending the Davidson THINK Summer Institute on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. This intense three-week residential summer program offers exceptionally gifted 13- to 16-year-old students the opportunity to earn up to six transferable college credits. The 2012 Davidson THINK Summer Institute will be held July 14 through August 4."

What is Summer HSSP?

Summer HSSP is a seven week program that allows students to get an in-depth look at topics that they find interesting. It will run on Sundays this summer (dates to come - check the website). The course catalog for Summer HSSP will be posted soon. all listed classes meet weekly for the duration of the program. The fee for the entire program is $30; the registration timeline is below. What is Delve?

Want to explore an academic topic in depth? Delve is a program which takes students deeper into science, math, and social studies topics and prepares them to take Advanced Placement exams. Students attend classes from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a break for lunch on Sundays from September to May. Class offerings are not yet finalized, but will definitely include AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology.
